Happy Friday. I hope your week has gone well. This week has been one of ups and downs for us. Thomas had an operation yesterday, which he is home recovering from, and because it was dental related I’m going to be planning lots of simple, fairly soft meals for the week ahead. Meals that don’t require a lot of prep time – as I need to get organised for Christmas still. Having absolutely minimal food waste is always important to me but I’m making things stretch even further at the moment because we still have so many house jobs to pay for. I will be taking steps to make sure we are avoiding overspending on groceries and this week I’m going to visit Lidl or Aldi for my shop, rather than doing an online shop. We’ve got lots of supplies in the fridge & freezer for Daisy, including her specialist bread and snacks, so I’m hopeful I won’t need to visit a ‘big’ supermarket again this week. I only spent £45 last week, including about £10 of treats, so I was really pleased!Continue reading
Happy Friday! I hope that your week has been a good one. We’ve achieved lots of jobs at home, completed a deep clean and started the next decorating job – decorating my office. I’m so excited and the house is coming along nicely now. We’ve spent a fortune, more than I care to admit at this moment in time really, but it’s starting to get warm and clean and fresh in here so it’s worth every penny really. This spending means that having a control on our family finances is more important than ever! Hello! The end of November already?! Wow! Where did the time go? I can hardly believe that November is over already and it is nearly time to prepare for Christmas. Here it is my aims for November 2019 – the results!
Happy Friday! Hopefully you’ve had a great week, as I have. Wow. 100 weeks of meal planning. Amazing! I can’t believe people still link up weekly and I’m still enjoying sharing my meal plan! We have been away to a wedding, and are heading home today. Thanks to being prepared we’ve enjoyed a few days off cooking but come home to lovely meals planned & shopping already on its way. I meal plan to save money, where possible, make the most of bargains and use up everything we have in. I’m loving getting back to meal planning and really excited about normality returning to our life after a busy month. This week I want to try and ensure that we’re having absolutely minimal food waste, ideally none if possible, and to avoid expensive takeaways too. Meal planning helps us to stay organised and saves us money too. Every week I share with you my meal plan for the coming week and provide a post for other bloggers to link up (see below). I love seeing what everyone is linking up meal plan wise, cooking each week and also getting inspiration for my own meal plan too. I hope that this will help people to find lots of inspiration, delicious recipes and maybe read some helpful blog posts about meal planning and money saving. Don’t forget to check out my post to help you avoid overspending on your groceries.
