A week of super easy dinners

I’m a real fan of a lazy dinner. I love to utilise my slow cooker where possible. Often I don’t want to spend more than 10-15 minutes preparing dinner, but I still want to serve my family something tasty. For me, I love to be able to put dinner on in the morning and then come back, at the end of a day of work, and find that dinner is ready to serve. This is so convenient, helps us avoid the takeaway and saves us money too. This week of super easy dinners is going to be a mixture of slow cooker dinners (that are still easy to make without a slow cooker) and fast dinners.

A week of slow cooker dinners

I’m a huge fan of using our slow cooker. It is so simple to prepare a meal, leave it cooking and then serve it up when we are ready to eat. If our plans change or our my daughter doesn’t want to go to bed, then dinner won’t be ruined. We can set the slow cooker to keep warm and our dinner will be waiting for us when the time is right. Another thing that I love about using the slow cooker is that we can use cheaper cuts of meat and bulk out our meals with lots of healthy vegetables. I’ve posted a fair few slow cooker recipes here now and I want to share with you today a week of slow cooker dinners.

Slow cooker chicken nachos

I’m a real fan of using my slow cooker, as my regular readers will know. Being able to pop a delicious meal in to my slow cooker is so convenient for us as a family. We don’t have to eat at a set time and if we are running late for dinner time we can just put it on ‘keep warm’. So convenient. Anyway, one day last week I really fancied chicken nachos! I decided to pop the chicken and the veggies in the slow cooker, then I only needed 10 minutes preparation for serving up. This is such an easy recipe so here is my slow cooker chicken nachos recipe – hope you enjoy it!

Jacket potatoes in the slow cooker – so simple!

I’m a real fan of using my slow cooker. I love nothing more than setting a nice meal up for the day and then coming home, or finishing my work, and it being ready. Slow cookers are super convenient, whether you are going to be home or not. I’ve cooked a wide variety of meals in my slow cooker now and I’m branching out more every week. Recently I decided that I would try making jacket potatoes in the slow cooker – and they were so straightforward!
