Hello, happy Friday! I hope that the week has been a good one for you. It’s been good here. Lots achieved and this weekend we get our new dog. Yay! I’m really excited now there is just one day to go. Eek!
Meal planning helps us to have low food waste which is really important to me. I feel really sad if we have to throw something in the bin, thinking of both the environmental impact and the fact that other people struggle to afford food. I am always trying to take steps to make sure we are avoiding overspending on groceries.

Every Tuesday I sit down and plan our meals for the following week. I look at what we have in already, what meals we might fancy and what meals from my mealtime inspiration post that we haven’t had lately. It’s really simple and takes around 15-20 minutes in total. Then I will load up a Tesco shop, or write a shopping list, depending on what we have on that week.
Each week other lovely bloggers link up their meal plans, to try and share recipes around with one another, inspire each other and hopefully drive a little bit of extra traffic too! I really enjoy running this linky and seeing what meals everyone is cooking that week.

The Meal Planning Linky Week #114
I’ve planned 7 dinners this week. Lots of lovely lunches and breakfasts too. I’m looking forward to another week of eating well, trying to resist the lure of the takeaway on busy nights and loving cooking in my newly decorated kitchen.
The meals for the Meal Planning Linky Week #114 are:
Chicken & mushroom risotto (Simply Cook)
Lamb kofta no yeast flatbreads
Air fryer frozen fish and chips with mushy peas
Chicken, mash & vegetables
Slow cooker vegetarian lasagne
Pizza night (homemade pizza dough in the breadmaker)
Leftovers – not sure what yet but I’m sure we’ll have some!
I’m really enjoying changing things up recently. I think I’ll swap a couple of the meat dishes with Quorn substitute, or similar, it just depends on what we have in.
If you’re looking for meal planning inspiration then be sure to read my meal planning tips. Also, check out my meal planning with mince post. I’ve also got a post about how to stretch a whole chicken.

We are using quorn more these days and their chicken style burgers are ahuge favourite here. Your simple food meals again sound so interesting.
