Good morning, Happy Friday. I hope you and your family are keeping well. I’m trying my best to keep busy during this uncertain time and do what I can to keep my website running well. I’ve actually prepared 4 of these meal plans in advance and I’m feeling good about that – let’s just hope I can buy what I need each week in the supermarket as I’ve not stockpiled. I don’t like the idea that those on lower incomes can’t afford to stockpile, and may struggle because of everyone who is doing so when they do have money for shopping.
Anyway, onto the meal plan! Meal planning helps us to have low food waste which is really important to me. I feel really sad if we have to throw something in the bin, thinking of both the environmental impact and the fact that other people struggle to afford food. I am always trying to take steps to make sure we are avoiding overspending on groceries.

I love meal planning. It is really fast for me now, as I’ve done it for so long. It helps me to keep variety in our home and means we’re getting to eat tasty meals and cut back on the takeaways too. By sharing my meal plan I hope to keep myself accountable and do what I can to keep my family finances running well.

My favourite meal plan from last week: Meal Planning Monday
The Meal Planning Linky Week #116
I have planned seven dinners for us this week. We do have a plan to have a family takeaway on the evening of Daisy’s Birthday, tomorrow, so will see how we go! At least I’ll have lots of meals to choose from.
The meals for the Meal Planning Linky Week #116 are:
Pizza night (pizza dough made in the breadmaker)
Chicken kievs, air fryer roast potatoes, vegetables
Moroccan inspired chicken & rice in the slow cooker
Slow cooker roast beef + trimmings including air fryer roasties, yorkshires, sage & onion stuffing, air fryer parsnips, ultimate onion gravy and more!
Slow cooker vegetarian lasagne
Air fryer frozen fish and chips
If you’re looking for meal planning inspiration then be sure to read my meal planning tips. Also, check out my meal planning with mince post. I’ve also got a post about how to stretch a whole chicken.

I'm still planning week by week for now, and heading to the shops whenever needed, which should be about once every ten days. So far so good, but I'm sure there'll be weeks when things are in short supply. Love the look of your airfryer roasties :)

I have got a few weeks of meals planned too. I can't see me doing any more shopping before the middle of April so I am using what we've got in. I hope you and your family are keeping well and Daisy had a lovely birthday. Great meal plan x

I hope you can manage that long without a shop, we've got a weekly slot (so grateful!) and I really hope we can get enough food to avoid going out. Thanks, hope you and your family are keeping well x

You're absolutely right! Thanks so much - we did. They do delivery now where you don't make contact with the driver which is good!

It's all a bit worrying, isn't it? I didn't rush out and stockpile, but I always keep a lot of food in so I am in a good position. This is where meal planning is so important - to make sure we don't waste anything! Love to you and yours and stay well.

It really is! We didn't stockpile either, but I am relieved to have a Hello Fresh for 5 dinners coming in a couple of weeks and then weekly after that! I love meal planning and I really feel it is coming into it's own for us now! Stay well too Jane x
