Morning. Happy Friday. Another week passes by and I’m feeling well settled in the routine of this ‘new’ phase of life. We’ve been home for well over 8 weeks now and while I miss outside I’m also grateful to be safe at home. For now I’m just trying to stay safe and calm at home. As always I am always trying to take steps to make sure we are avoiding overspending on groceries.

Having a plan each week helps to keep us on track. I’m a big fan of budgeting and meal planning goes hand in hand with keeping a tight control on our food budget.

My favourite meal plan from last week: Getting back into the swing of things from Mum Diaries
The Meal Planning Linky Week #124
I’ve planned 7 dinners this week, as we aren’t really having takeaways at the moment. I’ve also got a loose plan for lunches and breakfasts, which I don’t always do.
*Get yourself £20 off your first Hello Fresh box!
The meals for the Meal Planning Linky Week #124 are:
Meatballs and bacon & onion gravy with cheesy mash (Hello Fresh)
Pasanda spiced Prawn Pilaf with Garlicky beans, carrot and a coriander dressing (Hello Fresh)
Chicken Laksa with noodles and yellow pepper (Hello Fresh)
Speedy BBQ sausages with bacon jam and salad (Hello Fresh)
One-pan asian chicken with broccoli and basmati rice (Hello Fresh)
Chinese night – I’m going to make sweet & sour chicken balls, egg fried rice and chow mien!
Indian night – I’m going make a spicy curry, rice, naan and maybe some bombay potatoes too!
That’s it! A nice straight forward week for us. I’m looking forward to not having to plan our meals too much and everything being measured out for me. I do love the convenience of Hello Fresh.
While you’re here why not check out my meal planning with mince post. I’ve also got a post about making a roast chicken go further.

Some of those Hello Fresh meals sound so good. I need to really have a look at them and see if we can work around food allergies. It's on my list.

I've found that it is easy to see the allergens on the meal selector screen, but occasionally things have been changed lately.

Your hello fresh meals sound delicious, do you order weekly or just recreate dishes you've had from them in the past? Tempted to try them out but unsure with a fussy eater if it is worth it!
I love the sound of your Indian night too!

I'm ordering weekly atm - and loving it! They let you choose from around 15 meals a week I think it is. I often cook Daisy something separate, partly fussiness and partly allergies, but I batch cook for her so it doesn't put me out much.
