Hello! Another week has zoomed by in our house. A week of house jobs, cleaning, work and not much else, but it has felt good anyway! I’m feeling super grateful to have childcare for 20 hours a week or so at the moment, to allow me to start getting on with some of my ‘one day’ work jobs that I have been meaning to get around to doing for absolutely months. I’ve been making purchases for the next round of DIY jobs in our home, and just feel like we’re making some progress on getting things done!
Next week I’m going to get a Gousto box in, as I’m gradually reviewing each of the meal boxes on my YouTube, and really enjoying it. I haven’t had Gousto in so long – I can’t wait to see what the quality is like now!
Meal planning helps us to have low food waste which is really important to me. I feel really sad if we have to throw something in the bin, thinking of both the environmental impact and the fact that other people struggle to afford food.
I am always trying to take steps to make sure we are avoiding overspending on groceries.
Planning our meals is a great way for us to save money, stay organised and eat delicious, tasty meals. I really enjoy cooking, and love making something new at least weekly.
At the moment our meal times are one of the highlights of another day staying home together, and so I want to make sure we are enjoying nice food together.

The Meal Planning Linky Week #132
For the week ahead I’ve loosely planned breakfasts and lunches, to ensure that we have enough items in, and then we are fortunate enough to have a Hello Fresh box coming for most of our dinners which I am very grateful for.
The meals for the Meal Planning Linky Week #132 are:
Gousto: Sticky chilli chicken with salt + pepper chips
Gousto: Chicken katsu curry
Gousto: 10-min hoisin pork, mushroom & rice bowl
Gousto: Smoky n’ sweet bbq chicken fajitas
Pizza night (pizza dough made in the Panasonic breadmaker)
Takeaway night (perhaps a fakeaway – will see how the week goes!)
That’s it! A nice straight forward week for us. I’m looking forward to not having to plan our meals too much and everything being measured out for me.
