I hope you’re having a nice week. We’ve been getting lots of jobs done in our home, which feels great. I feel like we’re back making progress again and I’m feeling really productive and motivated lately. I’m trying to stay on top of the meal planning, as this helps us save money and eat better too, and it has been going well!

This week I want to try and ensure that we’re having absolutely minimal food waste, ideally none if possible, and to avoid expensive takeaways too. Meal planning helps us to stay organised and saves us money too.

I love seeing what everyone is linking up meal plan wise to this post, what people are cooking each week and also getting inspiration for my own meal plans too.

I hope that this will help people to find lots of inspiration, delicious recipes and maybe read some helpful blog posts about meal planning and money saving. Don’t forget to check out my post to help you avoid overspending on your groceries.

How I meal plan is I sit down weekly, for about 30 minutes. I look at what we have in, what we need on the Alexa shopping list and then I make a plan. This week we’re going to have a Gousto delivery so I don’t need to worry too much about what we’re eating for over half of the week’s dinners! Yay!

Pizza night (homemade pizza dough in the breadmaker)

I’m going to make the pizza, cassoulet and chilli vegetarian, so we can up the veg intake and reduce the meat intake a little!

    It is such a good feeling when you are getting jobs done around the house. We’ve just about finished everything that we need doing for the time being.

      you’re absolutely right! It was SO nice! It had marmalade in the gravy and was extra tasty!

    Food waste is something we are working on. I have found lockdown really helpful motivating me to be tougher on it and it’s worked well. We are still working on house jobs. Husband is now wishing he was allowed back to the office! 😉

      It’s easily done isn’t it, the food waste, but I find just a little fridge check a couple of times a week helps nip that in the bud!
