Hello, happy Friday! I hope your week has gone well. I’m looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend with Tom and Daisy, plus seeing a few members of family too hopefully. I’m hoping to get out for a few walks, start a new puzzle that I treated myself to and just generally relax, as I’ve been working hard lately. It has been another very busy but productive week.
Meal planning helps us to have low food waste which is really important to me. I feel really sad if we have to throw something in the bin, thinking of both the environmental impact and the fact that other people struggle to afford food. I am always trying to take steps to make sure we are avoiding overspending on groceries.

Each week, usually on a Tuesday, I sit down and think about the meals we’re going to eat for the following week. It only takes 15-20 minutes and then I schedule this post directly after. I plan around Tom’s schedule, any activities we have planned with Daisy and just generally try to make our meal plan fit around our family the best I can.
I’ve been meal planning for over 2 years now pretty much every single week. It is a great way for us to save money and I really enjoy having a nice variety of meals to choose from each week.
Each week other lovely bloggers link up their meal plans, to try and share recipes around with one another, inspire each other and hopefully drive a little bit of extra traffic too! I really enjoy running this linky and seeing what meals everyone is cooking that week.

I’ve planned 7 dinners this week. Lots of lovely lunches and breakfasts too. I’m looking forward to another week of eating well, trying to resist the lure of the takeaway on busy nights and loving cooking in my newly decorated kitchen.

We love homemade pizza night. I have become a bit of a dough expert in lockdown. My kids love making their own and we can adapt for food allergies. Might have to add bangers and mash to the menu next week too!

I love bangers and mash, they are already extra special for me. I also love toad-in-the-hole, but then I'm adding to the calories.

All sounds good. Now I'm intrigued - what's the "extra special" bit about the bangers & mash ?!
