Meal planning is something that I have really come to love in recent months. Meal planning helps us avoid buying takeaways, helps us to eat healthier meals and has become an important part of my organisational week. Being able to look at a meal plan, and choose what we are going to eat, takes some of the stress away from our day. Today I’m sharing the Meal Planning Linky Week #27. This linky is hosted by myself, Katykicker, and Naomi from The Organised Life Project. We both LOVE meal planning and want to invite you to join us in sharing your meal plan and keeping motivated.
By holding myself accountable, with a meal plan, I am making healthier choices for us. We are cutting out on the takeaways, preparing food from scratch and saving ourselves money too. I have switched from shopping at Tesco to shopping at Aldi and this has helped our grocery budget too.
The Meal Planning Linky is a weekly linky. Naomi and I will be sharing our week’s meal plan and would love you to link yours up too. By sharing meal plans we can all keep ourselves accountable and inspire one another with new ideas and recipes.

The Meal Planning Linky Week #27
I will be planning 5 meals each week. This leaves 2 days per week for using up leftovers, dining out or visiting family for dinner. We don’t have set days for our meals, as I prefer to decide in the morning which of the meals we want and what fits in with our plans.
My meals for the Meal Planning Linky Week #27 are:
Chicken fajitas with homemade tortillas
Fish dish
Pasta bake with garlic bread
Beef keema curry with slow cooker rice
Calzone with airfryer chips
Snacks: Lemon poppyseed muffins
My *triple slow cooker is really helpful when I want to make us a slow cooker dinner. I’m able to make us the main dish, a side dish and cook a separate meal for Daisy too. Most of this week’s dinners are Daisy friendly so I won’t have to do that much extra cooking for her. Yay!
If you’re looking for meal planning inspiration then be sure to read my meal planning tips and my meal planning with mince post. I’ve also got a post about making a roast chicken go further.
Beef keema used to be one of my favourite dishes to make at home, and I’ve just realised now that I’d totally forgotten about it! I love mince but I’m a bit sick of chilli and spag bol at the minute, so I’m definitely going to try keema again soon 🙂
Yeah I get sick of chilli and bolognese over and over too. Hope you enjoy! x
Your tortillas look fab. My tortillas and chapattis all taste good but I’ve never managed to make mine anywhere near round! And those muffins look awesome.
Thanx for doing the link up
Tx
Most of mine don’t look round either – but they still taste nice!
Love chicken fajitas and calzone, fab for busy nights, and the lemon muffins look SO good. Hope you have a great week 🙂 x
Ooh yes – I love a calzone. Wish I had one tonight to be honest!
Oh I love the sound of lemon and poppyseed cupcakes – my boys would love them as a snack
They are absolutely delicious. Really refreshing too!
Chicken fajitas sound so good! Will have to try them gluten free; I do have some GF tortillas in the refrigerator. I shall put that on my next week’s menu. Thanks for the inspiration. The lemon poppy seed muffins look mighty tasty also. Daisy is just too cute and growing so quickly. Have a great week!
You’re so welcome – thanks so much for joining in! x
