The Meal Planning Linky Week #36 Meal Plan

I’m a BIG fan of meal planning! Being able to save money, and avoid takeaways is great for our waistline and our budget too. For us, the main area where we go wrong with eating healthy is not planning dinners and not meal planning before we go shopping. Since we have become more motivated and begun meal planning, we feel more organised at home and we are eating healthier too.

Meal planning allows me to remove some of the day to day stress from my life. Often, by 3 pm, I’m tired from juggling work, nursery drop-off/pick-up and don’t have the motivation to think of what we want to eat for dinner. Also, my husband works shifts so he goes out to work at 5 pm sometimes. This means we need an early dinner and it falls right in the middle of Daisy’s bedtime routine.

By posting my meal plan weekly I want to make healthier choices, cut out takeaways, cook from scratch and save lots of money too. I’ve also switched from shopping at Tesco to shopping at Aldi and I’ve been saving a LOT of money so far.

The Meal Planning Linky Week #36

This week I have planned 6 dinners. This leaves one day for using up leftovers or possibly eating out. We don’t eat our dinners on set days, as I just decide each evening which meal we will be eating the following day.

My favourite meal plan from last week:

A meal plan for zero waste week

My meals for the Meal Planning Linky Week #36 are:

slow cooker pulled pork

Pulled pork with sweet potato hash

Fresh pasta with pasta sauce

Airfryer chips

Hunters chicken with airfryer chips

Sausage cassoulet

A look at my ultimate lazy tuna fishcakes - once cooked

Lazy tuna fishcakes with veggies or salad

Moroccan lamb burgers

Moroccan lamb burgers

I absolutely love my triple slow cooker. It helps me batch cook, make a separate meal for Daisy and I can even make side dishes too!

If you’re looking for meal planning inspiration then be sure to read my meal planning tips and my meal planning with mince post. I’ve also got a post about making a roast chicken go further.

Thanks for continuing to Host this on your own. I love reading everyone’s meal plans. I’m always looking for ideas to pinch so we don’t end up eating the same old thing!
I can’t believe you’ve got a tiny person at home and find the time to make pasta!

Tuna fishcakes!!! I had forgotten they were even a thing. Definitely doing those soon. Love them! Thanks for the reminder!

Homemade pasta! Never have attempted that, but truly do want to try. My husband has celiac so I did find a pasta recipe for wheat-free pasta. I need to get busy and try making gluten free noodles especially for tuna casserole.
