I’m a BIG fan of meal planning! Being able to save money, and avoid takeaways is great for our waistline and our budget too. For us, the main area where we go wrong with eating healthy is not planning dinners and not meal planning before we go shopping. Since we have become more motivated and begun meal planning, we feel more organised at home and we are eating healthier too.
Meal planning allows me to remove some of the day to day stress from my life. Often, by 3 pm, I’m tired from juggling work, nursery drop-off/pick-up and don’t have the motivation to think of what we want to eat for dinner. Also, my husband works shifts so he goes out to work at 5 pm sometimes. This means we need an early dinner and it falls right in the middle of Daisy’s bedtime routine.
By posting my meal plan weekly I want to make healthier choices, cut out takeaways, cook from scratch and save lots of money too. I’ve also switched from shopping at Tesco to shopping at Aldi and I’ve been saving a LOT of money so far.

This week I have planned 6 dinners. This leaves one day for using up leftovers or possibly eating out. We don’t eat our dinners on set days, as I just decide each evening which meal we will be eating the following day.

I absolutely love my *triple slow cooker. It helps me batch cook, make a separate meal for Daisy and I can even make side dishes too!
