The Meal Planning Linky Week #37 Meal Plan

Having an organised life has become really important to my family in recent months. With me working on building up my online business and illness in our family we’ve got lots going on. By meal planning we are able to cut down on takeaways, eat healthier meals and take advantage of special offers at the supermarket to save money. Being able to look at a meal plan, and choose what we are going to eat, takes some of the stress away from our day.

Life can be stressful at times. Having a meal plan to hand just removes some of the effort and time wasted thinking about what to make for dinner and looking for ingredients. By meal planning before I go shopping I’m able to make a list of the ingredients that we require and ensure we have everything to hand to make dinner every night.

By holding myself accountable, with a meal plan, I am making healthier choices for us. We are cutting out on the takeaways, preparing food from scratch and saving ourselves money too. I have switched from shopping at Tesco to shopping at Aldi and this has helped our grocery budget too.

My favourite meal plan from last week: Mud Cakes and Wine – 7th September meal plan

The Meal Planning Linky Week #37

This week I have planned 6 dinners. This leaves one day for using up leftovers or possibly eating out. We like to be a little loose with our meal planning, to try and avoid the possibility of food wastage. Also, we don’t eat our dinners on set days, as I just decide each evening which meal we will be eating the following day.

Fancy seeing the shop for this weeks meal plan?

My meals for the Meal Planning Linky Week #37 are:

Slow cooker chorizo loaded potatoes

Slow cooker chicken with slow cooker chorizo potatoes

Slow cooker chicken curry - a look at the curry once it is ready!

Slow cooker chicken curry with slow cooker rice

Slow cooker cottage pie filling - a look at the cooked filling

Cottage pie with sweet potato topping

Chicken fajita triangles

Chicken fajita triangles

Airfryer chips

Fish with airfryer chips and peas

I absolutely love my triple slow cooker. It helps me batch cook, make a separate meal for Daisy and I can even make side dishes too!

I love the idea of those fajita triangles and will give them a go one of these days. Thank goodness for meal planning ideas that help us to save so much money each week. I absolutely love shopping at Aldi too. I only go to another supermarket if the item I want is not sold at Aldi.

The slow cooker chorizo potatoes look amazing Katy. I’ve just bought some new slow cooker bags so the slow cooker is going to get lots of use now!

The slow cooker chicken curry looks absolutely amazing! I’ve made it my mission to use our slow cooker a little more over the coming months, as it hasn’t seen the light of day since last winter. This will definitely be on my list!
