Meal planning is something that I have really come to love in recent months. Meal planning helps us avoid buying takeaways, helps us to eat healthier meals and has become an important part of my organisational week. Being able to look at a meal plan, and choose what we are going to eat, takes some of the stress away from our day.

Day to day life can feel a little stressful at times. Like a lot of parents, I’m juggling multiple activities on a daily basis, and I’m also fitting in working from home too. Meal planning saves me time and effort and best of all it saves us money in the process!

By holding myself accountable, with a meal plan, I am making healthier choices for us. We are cutting out on the takeaways, preparing food from scratch and saving ourselves money too. I have switched from shopping at Tesco to shopping at Aldi and this has helped our grocery budget too.

My favourite meal plan from last week: Meal Planning Monday by A Strong Coffee

The Meal Planning Linky Week #38

This week I have planned 6 dinners. This leaves one day for using up leftovers or possibly eating out. We like to be a little loose with our meal planning, to try and avoid the possibility of food wastage. Also, we don’t eat our dinners on set days, as I just decide each evening which meal we will be eating the following day.

My meals for the Meal Planning Linky Week #38 are:

Slow cooker whole chicken with all the trimmings (ultimate onion gravy, air fryer roast potatoes and sage & onion stuffing)

Chicken, spinach & filo pie with veggies

Homemade pizzas

Beef chilli with slow cooker rice

Slow cooker chicken nachos

Salt & pepper chicken, egg fried rice and chow mein

Snack: Homemade oat biscuits

I absolutely love my triple slow cooker. It helps me batch cook, make a separate meal for Daisy and I can even make side dishes too!

If you’re looking for meal planning inspiration then be sure to read my meal planning tips and my meal planning with mince post. I’ve also got a post about making a roast chicken go further.

Oh well done you! I've never tried grape jelly. I hope it turned out well x

They're really nice - but those ones in a bag are delicious too (and cheap enough at Aldi!)

You're right - it's all about the comfort food isn't it! x

They are SO tasty! I am making a pie tonight actually - and I can't wait! (Yes, even at this time of night!)

I have seriously got to attempt those chicken nachos. I think they'd be a massive hit in this house.

When I made them this week I use a chipotle seasoning and they were even better!
