I’m a BIG fan of meal planning! Being able to save money, and avoid takeaways is great for our waistline and our budget too. For us, the main area where we go wrong with eating healthy is not planning dinners and not meal planning before we go shopping. Since we have become more motivated and begun meal planning, we feel more organised at home and we are eating healthier too. As well as sharing my own meal plan this week I’m inviting other bloggers to take part and share their meal plans. Hopefully, this will give our readers lots of meal planning inspiration!
Meal planning allows me to remove some of the day to day stress from my life. Often, by 3 pm, I’m tired from juggling work, nursery drop-off/pick-up and don’t have the motivation to think of what we want to eat for dinner. Also, my husband works shifts so he goes out to work at 5 pm sometimes. This means we need an early dinner and it falls right in the middle of Daisy’s bedtime routine.
By posting my meal plan weekly I want to make healthier choices, cut out takeaways, cook from scratch and save lots of money too. I’ve also switched from shopping at Tesco to shopping at Aldi and I’ve been saving a LOT of money so far.
By sharing meal plans we can all keep ourselves accountable and inspire one another with new ideas and recipes.

The Meal Planning Linky Week #41
I will be planning 6 meals per week. This leaves 1 day each week for finishing up leftovers, dining out or visiting family for dinner. We don’t have set days for our meals, as I prefer to decide in the morning which of the meals we want and what fits in with our plans.
My meals for the Meal Planning Linky Week #41 are:
Slow cooker pulled pork with rice or veggies
Slow cooker beef chilli with slow cooker rice
Fajitas with homemade tortillas
Dessert: Chocolate chip muffins
My triple slow cooker is really helpful when I want to make us a slow cooker dinner. I’m able to make us a main dish, a side dish and cook a separate meal for Daisy too. Most of this week’s dinners are Daisy friendly so I won’t have to do that much extra cooking for her. This is always a great week for me!
If you’re looking for meal planning inspiration then be sure to read my meal planning tips and my meal planning with mince post. I’ve also got a post about making a roast chicken go further.

Your food always looks gorgeous and you know what, I may add the slow cooker chicken curry to next week's meal plan. It look like something that I would want to come home to!

The smell as you open the door is one of the things I love about leaving the slow cooker on!
