I absolutely love meal planning. It is a fantastic way to save money, stay organised and avoid the last-minute takeaway. I’m running a weekly meal planning linky, that allows other bloggers to share their meal plans too. I hope that this will help people to find lots of inspiration, delicious recipes and maybe read some helpful blog posts about meal planning and money saving.

For me it doesn’t take long to meal plan. I sit down once a week, on a Sunday night, and look at what groceries we have available. Then I think about different meals that we haven’t had recently, or look online for some inspiration. Then once a week we visit Aldi, and sometimes Tesco or Sainsburys if Daisy needs some free-from specialist food. I switched from shopping at Tesco to shopping at Aldi and saved over 30%!

The Meal Planning Linky Week #56

This week I have planned 6 dinners. This leaves one day for using up leftovers or possibly eating out. We like to be a little loose with our meal planning, to try and avoid the possibility of food wastage. Also, we don’t eat our dinners on set days, as I just decide each evening which meal we will be eating the following day.

Meal Planning Linky Week #56 are:

Slow cooker gammon joint with balsamic & orange glaze

Slow cooker gammon with all the trimmings including sage and onion stuffing, onion gravy and airfryer roast potatoes.

How to cook rice in the slow cooker

Chicken chow mein with slow cooker rice

Bacon mac and cheese

Bacon mac & cheese pasta bake

Slow cooker chicken nachos

Slow cooker Chicken nachos (Quorn for Daisy)

Spaghetti bolognese & garlic bread

Fish, chips & peas

I absolutely love my *triple slow cooker. It helps me batch cook, make a seperate meal for Daisy and I can even make side dishes too!

If you’re looking for meal planning inspiration then be sure to read my meal planning tips and my meal planning with mince post. I’ve also got a post about making a roast chicken go further.

Supermarkets often have them for around £10 at this time of year! x
