Hello! Happy Friday – hope your week has gone well. We’ve had a couple of days away from home, and lots and lots of meals out. This means that I’ve got lots of food leftover, so the meal plan for next week was already half prepared really. I’ve arranged my food shop and I’m really pleased to be able to spend under £50 to get everything we need for another week! The Meal Planning Linky Week #60 Meal Plan is now live! Feel free to join up if you’re a blogger or perhaps leave me a comment letting me know what meals you’re enjoying this week.

Meal planning allows me to alleviate some of the stress from my life. Knowing that we have food in for various dinners, and a range of different dinners, helps me on a day where I am having a flare-up. I love being able to look in the morning, or even the night before and decide what we are going to have for dinner. If we get busy unexpectedly then we often have a slow cooker meal on the go. Also, if you’re looking for some more inspiration be sure to check out my mealtime inspiration post with LOTS of great recipes on!

By holding myself accountable, with a meal plan, I am making healthier choices for us. We are cutting out on the takeaways, preparing food from scratch and saving ourselves money too. I have switched from shopping at Tesco to shopping at Aldi and this has helped our grocery budget too.

The Meal Planning Linky Week #60

This week’s favourite meal plan: #MealPlanningMonday from NorthumMam

My meals for the Meal Planning Linky Week #60 are:

Slow cooker gammon joint with balsamic & orange glaze

Slow cooker gammon with Airfryer roast potatoesHomemade stuffing and Ultimate onion gravy

Slow cooker beef keema

Slow cooker keema curry (with Quorn), poppadoms and rice in the slow cooker

Slow cooker beef chilli - A sneak peek at the end result

Beef chilli in the slow cooker (but made with Quorn) with tortilla chips and rice in the slow cooker

Spaghetti & meatballs

Pizza dough in the breadmaker

Pizza night

Easy slow cooker chicken casserole recipe

Slow cooker chicken casserole

I love using my *triple slow cooker and I have been testing out making side dishes in it recently too. Most of this week’s dinners are Daisy friendly so I won’t have to do that much extra cooking for her. Apart from the nights when we have chicken.

If you’re looking for meal planning inspiration then be sure to read my meal planning tips and my meal planning with mince post. I’ve also got a post about making a roast chicken go further.

i love chilli with quorn as it really takes the flavour but finds it needs more stock than when doing it with minced beef and now would fancy roast gammon again x

Yeah I find that Quorn drinks the liquids doesn’t it! Great for flavour though like you say x

Quorn is such a great versatile option for switching it in recipes that have meat. I like to do a ragu with it. I love that you have spent under £50. High Five. I need to start having a budget again for the week/month. 🙂 x
