Another week and another meal plan from me! I absolutely love meal planning. It is a fantastic way to save money, stay organised and avoid the last-minute takeaway. I’m running a weekly meal planning linky, that allows other bloggers to share their meal plans too. I hope that this will help people to find lots of inspiration, delicious recipes and maybe read some helpful blog posts about meal planning and money saving.

It doesn’t take me long to meal plan. I sit down once a week, on a Friday or Sunday night, and look at what groceries we have available. Then I think about the different meals that we haven’t had recently, or look online for some inspiration. I then place my Tesco shop online. In the past, I switched from shopping at Tesco to shopping at Aldi and saved over 30%!

My favourite meal plan from last week was: Baby Led Weaning Friendly Recipes

The Meal Planning Linky Week #62

This week I have planned 7 dinners. I’ve actually planned when the dinners are going to be, which I don’t usually do. The main reason for this is that we have a busy week next week.

Meal Planning Linky Week #62 are:

Slow cooker spaghetti bolognese

Quesadillas

Chicken tikka, rice, bhajis & naan

Burgers & Airfryer Chips

Pasta bake with garlic bread

Nandos chicken with Mexican rice

Toad in the hole with Mediterranean veggies

Unusually for me, I don’t really have many of my own recipes to link to this week. As we are going to be using lots of convenient meals and foods this week. This includes meal kits ordered from Amazon and ready-made rice. I’m going to be low on time as my Mum will be having a procedure in the hospital and I’m going for a couple of scans and X-rays myself.

Rather than resorting to a takeaway, because of time restraints, we are going to try and stick to the meal plan each day and save money.

I absolutely love my *triple slow cooker. It helps me batch cook, make a separate meal for Daisy and I can even make side dishes too!

If you’re looking for meal planning inspiration then be sure to read my meal planning tips and my meal planning with mince post. I’ve also got a post about making a roast chicken go further.

I do understand the need for convenience in meal planning sometimes. As long as the spending is frugal and we stick to the budgets.
I do hope your mom’s procedure goes well.
All the best for a great week ahead too.

I love the sound of all of your meals. I think sometimes you have to use meal kits and ready made things like rice if your life is busy.
Good luck to your mum. I hope everything goes OK and for you too with the scans and xrays. x
