I hope your month is going well! I love meal planning, as it keeps me on track financially, and this is why I share my weekly meal plan with you. If you’re a blogger you’re welcome to link up with me! This weeks meal plan is a quick one, that I’ve had to knock up in a hurry. Daisy has chickenpox and I just wanted to make sure that we avoided the takeaway and had enough food ordered for Monday to last us!
Meal planning allows me to alleviate some of the stress from my life. Knowing that we have food in for various dinners, and a range of different dinners, helps me on a day where I am having a flare-up. I love being able to look in the morning, or even the night before and decide what we are going to have for dinner. If we get busy unexpectedly then we often have a slow cooker meal on the go. Also, if you’re looking for some more inspiration be sure to check out my mealtime inspiration post with LOTS of great recipes on!
By holding myself accountable, with a meal plan, I am making healthier choices for us. We are cutting out on the takeaways, preparing food from scratch and saving ourselves money too. I have switched from shopping at Tesco to shopping at Aldi and this has helped our grocery budget too.

The Meal Planning Linky Week #65
I’ll be planning 6 meals this week, as we are out to dinner one evening with family. We seem to have got out of the habit of having lots of takeaways now, which is fantastic. We’re saving money, feeling healthier and eating up all of the food that we buy too.
My meals for the Meal Planning Linky Week #65 are:
Slow cooker chicken korma, onion bhajis, rice in the slow cooker and naan bread
Brinner with airfryer hash browns
Sausage, mash and vegetables with onion gravy
Air fryer frozen fish and chips
Dinner out with family – really looking forward to this!
I’m hoping to also make this Glazed gluten-free puff pastry doughnut recipe for Daisy again over the weekend. She is happy to get to help in the kitchen and it will keep her occupied for a little while too!
I love using my triple slow cooker and I have been testing out making side dishes in it recently too. Most of this week’s dinners are Daisy friendly so I won’t have to do that much extra cooking for her. Apart from the nights when we have chicken.
If you’re looking for meal planning inspiration then be sure to read my meal planning tips and my meal planning with mince post. I’ve also got a post about how to stretch a whole chicken.
