Happy Friday! I hope the week has been a good one for you so far. This week I turned 31! We’ve had a nice meal out with family, and a few different things going on. Despite this, we have stuck to our meal plan and not resorted to a takeaway. I personally love meal planning and look forward to planning new meals and shopping for ingredients online each week. I love seeing what everyone is linking up and getting inspiration for my own meal plan. I’m running this weekly meal planning linky, that allows other bloggers to share their meal plans too. I hope that this will help people to find lots of inspiration, delicious recipes and maybe read some helpful blog posts about meal planning and money saving.

It doesn’t take me long to meal plan. I sit down once a week and look at what groceries we have available. Then I think about the different meals that we haven’t had recently, or look online for some inspiration. I then place my Tesco shop online. In the past, I switched from shopping at Tesco to shopping at Aldi and saved over 30%! I don’t always want to go out in the car and browse the aisles so I find online shopping really convenient.

How to link up with The Meal Planning Linky Week #69

Once your post is live all you need to do is hit the button that says “Add your link”. This takes you to the link-up page where you can add your post. I’m having some trouble with the linky code atm and don’t know why it isn’t showing the links/photos. I’m working on it and this won’t be the normal way of running this linky now!

Sorry that I missed taking part last week.. I had a super busy week and didn’t get around to catching up with everyone!

The Meal Planning Linky Week #69

This week I have planned 7 dinners. I want to make sure we’ve got all the ingredients in for our planned meals so I’ve booked a Tesco shop too.

The meals for the Meal Planning Linky Week #69 are:

Slow cooker spaghetti bolognese (making a double batch and saving half for bolognese pasta bake)

Slow cooker chicken nachos

Slow cooker chicken nachos

Slow cooker gammon joint with balsamic & orange glaze

Slow cooker gammon in a balsamic glaze with roast dinner trimmings including airfryer potatoes, airfryer parsnips, sage & onion stuffing and onion gravy

Chicken fajitas

Slow cooker paella (new recipe I’ve tested a few times now!)

Slow cooker jacket potatoes with beef chilli

Sweet & sour chicken Peking style with egg fried rice

I absolutely love my *triple slow cooker. It helps me to batch cook, make a separate meal for Daisy and I can even make side dishes too!

If you’re looking for meal planning inspiration then be sure to read my meal planning tips and my meal planning with mince post. I’ve also got a post about making a roast chicken go further.

If you enjoyed this post I’d love it if you could pin it on Pinterest!

A delicious meal plan week for the whole family with lots of slow cooker dinners. Save money, cut down on takeaways, be motivated and get inspired. #mealplanning #frugal #food #slowcooker #chicken

Happy birthday first of all. We hope you had a good day. I’d love to try out that paella one of these days. This week was so hectic for us but also so much fun. We’ve stuck to meal planning and even made extra of some of the dishes so we can freeze some for when we are away filming. It works every time. Thanks for letting us link up and have a Fab week ahead.

Have not had sweet and sour chicken in ages, we must have that again soon. A lovely week x

It really is so simple to make at home. You can make the sauce for it in just about 2 minutes!

It’s amazing how much you can make in the slow cooker. I wish I had space for one!
I want those nachos, they look gorgeous.

They are fantastic but you can recreate most of these meals on your hob or in the oven no bother x

Bolognese is such a great meal to make as it has so many uses. When I make it, I always make more than enough so we can have it the next day too.
    The gammon looks amazing.
    Fab meal plan x

I love meals that are diverse and have leftovers that can be utilised in other ways.

Bolognese is our go to because it literally has dozens of different uses and you can put so many twists on it.
I love the sound of the gammon meal. I definitely need to start using my slow cooker more

I would never have thought about jacket potatoes in the slow cooker. Sweet and Sour chicken is something which my partner would love I might have to make some for him.

Your week sounded amazing! You use your slow cooker so well, mine I always stick to the basic’s so I am going to try and use it a little more!

    • katykicker May 7, 2019 / 10:37 am

Yay! We all branch out eventually, just start with the basics and then try some new things as you get used to the timings for your slow cooker.

  8. Paula @ Mummy Vs Work May 5, 2019 / 11:17 am

Sounds yummy! You use your slow cooker so much, I am stuck in the rut of using it for the same dishes so I need to try and use it a bit more!

    • katykicker May 7, 2019 / 10:38 am

I have been trying to branch out lately and it has been fantastic.
