Happy Friday! I hope your week has been a good one so far. Meal planning is something that I have come to enjoy and running this linky in particular. I love to see what meals people are cooking and get some inspiration from others. I’m running this weekly meal planning linky, that allows other bloggers to share their meal plans too. I hope that this will help people to find lots of inspiration, delicious recipes and maybe read some helpful blog posts about meal planning and money saving.

It doesn’t take me long to meal plan now. Normally I sit down once a week and look at what groceries we have available. Recently I have been planning 4 weeks at a time, to try and have more variety in our meal times. I think about the meals that we haven’t had for a while, or look online for a bit of meal planning inspiration. The posts people link up with here are sourceat souce of inspiration for me too now! I then place my Tesco shop online or visit Aldi, depending on what kind of mood I’m in. In the past, I switched from shopping at Tesco to shopping at Aldi and saved over 30%! I don’t always want to go out in the car and browse the aisles so I find online shopping really convenient. We haven’t had a car for a couple of weeks so I’m looking forward to getting back to Aldi early next week!

My favourite meal plan from last week was: A week of Slimming World Meals

The Meal Planning Linky Week #71

This week I have planned 7 dinners. I have planned specific dinners for specific days, based around our workload. I have an operation on Tuesday. I’m trying to make sure that we eat nice healthy dinners while I am recovering, instead of resorting to a takeaway from tiredness.

The meals for the Meal Planning Linky Week #71 are:

Beef hotpot

Beef Hotpot

Bacon mac and cheese

Bacon mac & cheese pasta bake and homemade garlic bread

Slow cooker beef keema

Slow cooker beef keema curry with rice made in the slow cooker

Easy calzone recipe - a look at my finished calzone

Calzones + airfryer chips

Slow cooker beef chilli - A sneak peek at the end result

Beef chilli with slow cooker jacket potatoes

Sausage Cassoulet - A look at the finished dish

I absolutely love my *triple slow cooker. It helps me batch cook, make a separate meal for Daisy and I can even make side dishes too!

Sounds lovely as always and we must have chilli again very soon, and the slow cooker is so useful for that meal

You’re absolutely right. I think the slow cooker is fantastic for so many meat based dinners.

Oh, I can’t wait to get rich and buy ab air fryer! Only joking, I’m mega rich, lol.
I love the sound of your calzone and it is quite similar to the Jamaican meatloaf! I’ll share the recipe soon and you’ll see that they really are similar.
When I read your meal plans I always feel like we are not using up the slow cooker as much as we could. It saves so much time standing around in the kitchen!
I hope Tuesday’s op goes to plan and that it will be a swift recovery. Sending up prayers for you and I hope Daisy and Tom will take over and give you the pampering you deserve.
