Happy Friday! I hope your week has been a good one so far. We’ve had a really good week. I’ve got back on track with work and I’m feeling motivated and productive for the months ahead! Meal planning is something that I have come to enjoy and running this linky in particular. I love to see what meals people are cooking and get some inspiration from others. I’m running this weekly meal planning linky, that allows other bloggers to share their meal plans too. I hope that this will help people to find lots of inspiration, delicious recipes and maybe read some helpful blog posts about meal planning and money saving.

Katykickers weekly meal planning linky

It doesn’t take me long to meal plan now. Normally I sit down once a week and look at what groceries we have available. Recently I have been planning 4 weeks at a time, to try and have more variety in our meal times. I think about the meals that we haven’t had for a while or look online for a bit of meal planning inspiration. The posts people link up with here are sourceat souce of inspiration for me too now! A couple of years back I switched from shopping at Tesco to shopping at Aldi and saved over 30%! Then I fell off the wagon, and started doing the grocery shop online, for convenience. Now I’m back to browsing the aisles of Aldi and really enjoying it.

My favourite meal plan from last week: Nice to see Pushing The Moon back meal planning!

The Meal Planning Linky Week #74

This week I have planned 7 dinners. I’ve been planning specific dinners for specific days, to fit in with family plans. This has been working well for us. I’m trying to make sure that we eat nice healthy dinners while I am recovering, instead of resorting to a takeaway from tiredness.

The meals for the Meal Planning Linky Week #74 are:

Homemade onion gravy recipe

Sausage, mash & veggies with onion gravy

Out for lunch for anniversary + light meal for tea

Chicken Katsu with sticky rice – I’ll probably make the rice in my slow cooker

Moroccan lamb burgers

Moroccan lamb burgers & homemade air fryer wedges

Salt and pepper chicken

Salt and pepper chicken, sweet & sour chicken & egg fried rice

Pizza dough in the breadmaker

Homemade pizza & chicken night

Airfryer roast potatoes

Roast pork with trimmings including sage & onion stuffing and airfryer roast potatoes

I absolutely love my *triple slow cooker. It helps me batch cook, make a separate meal for Daisy and I can even make side dishes too!

If you’re looking for meal planning inspiration then be sure to read my meal planning tips and my meal planning with mince post. I’ve also got a post about making a roast chicken go further.

Yum! That Moroccan lamb burger is going to make an appearance on our meal plan soon (maybe next week). I like the sound and look of it.
So glad too that you are well on the mend and that Daisy did an excellent job looking after you.

Sausages and mash is such a comforting meal – love it, even with veggie sausages.
