Hello and happy Friday! I hope your week has been a good one so far. Mine has been going well so far. Lots of work done and home is pretty spotless too which is always nice. Meal planning is something that I have come to enjoy and running this linky in particular. I love to see what meals people are cooking and get some inspiration from others. I’m running this weekly meal planning linky, that allows other bloggers to share their meal plans too. I hope that this will help people to find lots of inspiration, delicious recipes and maybe read some helpful blog posts about meal planning and money saving. Don’t forget to check out my mealtime inspiration post if you want some recipe ideas.

It doesn’t take me long to meal plan now. Normally I sit down once a week and look at what groceries we have available. Recently I switched from shopping at Tesco to shopping at Aldi and saved over 30%! I have started to enjoy browsing the aisles at Aldi and looking out for a few 50% off orange stickered bargains too!

My favourite meal plan from last week was: Frankie & Benny’s style meals at home from the lovely Joleisa twins!

The Meal Planning Linky Week #76

This week I have planned 7 dinners. I have planned specific dinners for specific days, based around our workload. Thomas is on night shifts next week so I’m trying to make sure we don’t have mid afternoon takeaways on his days off!

The meals for the Meal Planning Linky Week #76 are:

Bolognese pasta bake

Bolognese pasta bake

A week of slow cooker dinners Slow-cooker-chicken-curry

Slow cooker chicken curry, rice in the slow cooker & naan bread.

Pizza dough in the breadmaker

Homemade pizza & chicken night

Slow cooker chicken nachos

Slow cooker chicken nachos

Homemade onion gravy recipe

Sausage & mash with onion gravy

Fish with roasted vegetables

Rubber roast chicken

Slow cooker roast chicken dinner with trimmings (sage & onion stuffing, airfryer roast potatoes, and airfryer roast parsnips).

I absolutely love my *triple slow cooker. It helps me batch cook, make a separate meal for Daisy and I can even make side dishes too!

If you’re looking for meal planning inspiration then be sure to read my meal planning tips and my meal planning with mince post. I’ve also got a post about making a roast chicken go further.

If you enjoyed this post I’d love it if you could pin it on Pinterest!

A tasty meal plan week for the whole family that is frugal too. #mealplanning #frugal #food #slowcooker #chicken-2

We haven’t done a pasta bake in a long time. We should get back to those days. The kids are all finished with exams next Tuesday so we should get a big bag of pasta that can be used in so many dishes. Quick enough and they can do it themselves too.
Thanks for the love on our Frankie and Benny’s dishes and I hope you get to try one or more soon.

Yes! My Mum gave me 3kg of pasta so I’m doing my best to use it up before we move house and I have to lug it there with us! Have a great week x
