Happy Friday! I hope your week has gone well. Ours has. Nothing particular, just lots of work, lots of chores, time together and some nice meals too! We had a cheeky takeaway too, which is always nice. I love seeing what everyone is linking up and getting inspiration for my own meal plan. I’m running this weekly meal planning linky, that allows other bloggers to share their meal plans too. I hope that this will help people to find lots of inspiration, delicious recipes and maybe read some helpful blog posts about meal planning and money saving. Don’t forget to check out my post to help you avoid overspending on your groceries.

It doesn’t take me long to meal plan. I sit down once a week, usually on a Thursday, and look at what groceries we have available from the previous week. Then I think about the different meals that we haven’t had recently, or look online for some inspiration. I then place my Tesco shop online. In the past, I switched from shopping at Tesco to shopping at Aldi and saved over 30%! I don’t always want to go out in the car and browse the aisles so I find online shopping really convenient. This week we have gone to Aldi though, and the saving was really worthwhile for us. I saved around £21 versus shopping at Tesco.

The Meal Planning Linky Week #80
This week I have planned 7 dinners. Thomas has a week off and we are planning on using the slow cooker lots. We’re going to try and avoid too many convenience foods.
The meals for the Meal Planning Linky Week #80 are:
Monday: Slow cooker sausage cassoulet
Tuesday: Slow cooker cottage pie
Wednesday: Slow cooker chicken curry, rice in the slow cooker & naan bread
Thursday: Toad in the hole with an Individual toad in the hole [DF, GF, SF] with onion gravy
Friday: Slow cooker hunters chicken
Saturday: Pizza dough in the breadmaker & drinks
Sunday: Slow cooker chicken fajitas (I may finally write this up one of these days!)
I absolutely love my triple slow cooker. It helps me to batch cook, make a separate meal for Daisy and I can even make side dishes too!
If you’re looking for meal planning inspiration then be sure to read my meal planning tips and my meal planning with mince post. I’ve also got a post about making a roast chicken go further.

We had your sausage cassoulet last week and it was so good and I made a sausage casserole from a packet mix yesterday and it was good but not as good as your recipe! I love the sound of your chicken fajitas. x

The chicken fajitas sound good! Mr S keeps badgering me for toad in the hole too, but not whilst I am on Slimming World....he will just have to have the toad in the form of low fat sausages :)

Haha nothing wrong with that! We mostly use Vegetarian sausages in ours too as normal sausages are so high in fat aren't they!
