Happy Friday! I hope you’ve had a wonderful week. We haven’t done anything special but the week has felt like a great one. Good things are coming for us and the excitement about the chance of moving is building up again. I’m trying not to get my hopes up but this time it is Thomas who is really excited. Fingers crossed that we get a house very soon! Meal planning helps us to stay organised and save money too. Every week I share with you my meal plan and provide an area for other bloggers to link up (see below). I love seeing what everyone is linking up meal plan wise, cooking each week and also getting inspiration for my own meal plan. I hope that this will help people to find lots of inspiration, delicious recipes and maybe read some helpful blog posts about meal planning and money saving. Don’t forget to check out my post to help you avoid overspending on your groceries.

I sit down once per week & see what groceries we have leftover from the previous week. Then I think about the different meals that we haven’t had recently, or look online for some inspiration. I then place my Tesco shop online. In the past, I switched from shopping at Tesco to shopping at Aldi and saved over 30%! Lately, I have been using Sainsburys to shop online. There have been a few issues with deliveries but things seem to be getting better the last two weeks, so maybe it was just a run of bad luck and glitches. We shall see! I quite enjoy shopping online as it allows me to budget and plan meals as we go. Also, it means we can take advantage of special offers easily.

My favourite meal plan from last week was: The weekly meal plan from Life As Kim as it had lots of meals that we love!

The Meal Planning Linky Week #85

This week I have planned 7 dinners. Cutting down on the takeaways is something we have been working on lately, and being organised really helps us. We’ve done well too! We have been out once, to eat dinner with my Mum & Brother, but I just carried that meal over for a week. I’ve been planning dinners that take just 15 minutes to prepare, and others that we can cook in the slow cooker. This is to keep us on track on our busier days.

The meals for the Meal Planning Linky Week #85 are:

Pizza night with homemade pizza dough in the breadmaker

Pork & parsnip traybake with mash and my ultimate onion gravy

Air fryer fish fingers, air fryer wedges & beans

Toad in the hole with roasted veggies and my ultimate onion gravy

Slow cooker hunters chicken with mash or air fryer chips & vegetables

Sweet & sour chicken, egg fried rice & prawn crackers This is a new recipe coming soon!

I absolutely love my slow cooker. It helps me to batch cook, make a separate meal for Daisy and I can even make side dishes too!

If you’re looking for meal planning inspiration then be sure to read my meal planning tips and my meal planning with mince post. I’ve also got a post about making a roast chicken go further.
