Happy Friday! I hope the week has been a good one for you. We haven’t had much on lately besides stressful situations and it has been nice to have a meal plan to rely on. This week, more than most, we have moved meals around and just tried to fit things in where we could. We also had a takeaway, which we haven’t done much lately, so that means that this weeks meal plan is partly made up from items that have built up in the last few weeks. This is great for helping us save money and it means we are keeping the fridge & freezers low of stock ready for when we move house. Meal planning helps us to stay organised and saves us money too. Every week I share with you my meal plan for the coming week and provide a post for other bloggers to link up (see below). I love seeing what everyone is linking up meal plan wise, cooking each week and also getting inspiration for my own meal plan. I hope that this will help people to find lots of inspiration, delicious recipes and maybe read some helpful blog posts about meal planning and money saving. Don’t forget to check out my post to help you avoid overspending on your groceries.

I sit down once per week & see what groceries we have leftover from the previous week. Then I think about the different meals that we haven’t had recently, or look online for some inspiration. I then place my Tesco shop online. In the past, I switched from shopping at Tesco to shopping at Aldi and saved over 30%! Sometimes you just can’t beat the convenience of online shopping. I like choosing my items when Daisy is in bed one evening and knowing what we are going to be spending. Also, sometimes it is nice to choose a nice bottle of wine and a few treats!

My favourite meal plan from last week was: Meal plan from Simply Cornish
The Meal Planning Linky Week #86
This week I have planned 7 dinners. I’ve been planning dinners that take under 15 minutes to prepare, and others that we can cook in the slow cooker. This is to keep us on track on our busier days. It’s been working well and stopping those last minute unplanned takeaways.
The meals for the Meal Planning Linky Week #86 are:
Fish, air fryer wedges & beans
Sweet & sour chicken, egg fried rice & prawn crackers
Slow cooker chicken curry with rice made in the slow cooker and naan
Roast chicken dinner with my slow cooker whole chicken, air fryer roast potatoes, sage & onion stuffing, onion gravy and lots of veggies including air fryer parsnips.
Pie, mash & veggies probably served with onion gravy
Fresh pasta & pasta sauce with homemade garlic bread
I absolutely love my slow cooker. It helps me to batch cook, make a separate meal for Daisy and I can even make side dishes too!
If you’re looking for meal planning inspiration then be sure to read my meal planning tips and my meal planning with mince post. I’ve also got a post about making a roast chicken go further.

Yeah once I get rid of my triple slow cooker I am sure we will stick to just boiling it too most of the time!

That's a shame, however, could you maybe marinade in the fridge before cooking fresh? That way some of the flavours can sink into the meat/veggies and give it a bit more depth? x
