Happy Friday! We’re in our first full week living in our new house and life is starting to settle back down again. We have lots of boxes to unpack still, and some storage to purchase, plus lots of other jobs. For this reason meal planning is becoming important again. I want to be able to save money, where possible, get a few bargains and make the most of everything we have in. I’m getting back to meal planning this week and really excited about normality returning to our life after a busy month. This week I want to try and ensure that we’re having zero food waste and keep avoid expensive takeaways too. Meal planning helps us to stay organised and saves us money too. Every week I share with you my meal plan for the coming week and provide a post for other bloggers to link up (see below). I love seeing what everyone is linking up meal plan wise, cooking each week and also getting inspiration for my own meal plan. I hope that this will help people to find lots of inspiration, delicious recipes and maybe read some helpful blog posts about meal planning and money saving. Don’t forget to check out my post to help you avoid overspending on your groceries.

I sit down once per week & see what groceries we have leftover from the previous week. Then I think about the different meals that we haven’t had recently, or look online for some inspiration. I then place my Tesco shop online. In the past, I switched from shopping at Tesco to shopping at Aldi and saved over 30%! For the past week or two I have been shopping at Sainsburys. They’ve sent me some great offers, for extra points and money off too. I’m probably still overspending a little but we are getting great quality food and it is delivered at a convenient time for me.

The Meal Planning Linky Week #93

This week I have planned 7 dinners. We’re not going to have a takeaway and I’m looking forward to making a lovely roast dinner too. I am going to have a new slow cooker to use next week and I’m looking forward to that!

The meals for the Meal Planning Linky Week #93 are:

Slow cooker hunters chicken with chips - A look at the finished dish

Slow cooker hunters chicken with airfryer chips and veggies

Sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice (ready made)

The finished Slow cooker vegetarian lasagne recipe

Slow cooker lasagne with homemade garlic bread

Slow cooker beef casserole - A look at the dinner once the flour has been added

Slow cooker beef casserole with dumplings

Bacon mac and cheese

Bacon mac and cheese pasta bake with homemade garlic bread

Slow cooker beef keema

Slow cooker keema curry with rice made in the slow cooker and naan bread (ready-made)

Slow cooker whole chicken, air fryer roast potatoes, sage & onion stuffing, onion gravy, airfryer parsnips and more trimmings as I think of them! I’m looking forward to this meal the most!

I absolutely love my *triple slow cooker. It helps me to batch cook, make a separate meal for Daisy and I can even make side dishes too!

If you’re looking for meal planning inspiration then be sure to read my meal planning tips and my meal planning with mince post. I’ve also got a post about making a roast chicken go further.
