Happy Friday! We are settled into our new house well now and normal life is resuming. This means I am meal planning; breakfast, lunch & dinner now. We’re still going to have the odd takeaway treat but we’ll be shopping local and walking there, to avoid minimum spends, and save some money in the process. I want to be able to save money, where possible, get a few bargains and make the most of everything we have in. I’m loving getting back to meal planning and really excited about normality returning to our life after a busy month. This week I want to try and ensure that we’re having zero food waste and keep avoid expensive takeaways too. Meal planning helps us to stay organised and saves us money too. Every week I share with you my meal plan for the coming week and provide a post for other bloggers to link up (see below). I love seeing what everyone is linking up meal plan wise, cooking each week and also getting inspiration for my own meal plan. I hope that this will help people to find lots of inspiration, delicious recipes and maybe read some helpful blog posts about meal planning and money saving. Don’t forget to check out my post to help you avoid overspending on your groceries.

I sit down once per week & see what groceries we have leftover from the previous week. Then I think about the different meals that we haven’t had recently, or look online for some inspiration. I then place my Tesco shop online. In the past, I switched from shopping at Tesco to shopping at Aldi and saved over 30%! For the past week or two I have been shopping at Sainsburys. They’ve sent me some great offers, for extra points and money off too. I’m probably still overspending a little but we are getting great quality food and it is delivered at a convenient time for me.

The Meal Planning Linky Week #94
This week I have planned 7 dinners. I have a new slow cooker to use next week and I’m looking forward to that!
The meals for the Meal Planning Linky Week #94 are:
Pizza night (homemade pizza dough in the breadmaker)
Sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice (ready-made)
Leftover slow cooker beef chilli with slow cooker jacket potatoes
Slow cooker whole chicken, air fryer roast potatoes, sage & onion stuffing, onion gravy, air fryer parsnips and more trimmings as I think of them! I’m looking forward to this meal the most!
I absolutely love my triple slow cooker. It helps me to batch cook, make a separate meal for Daisy and I can even make side dishes too!
If you’re looking for meal planning inspiration then be sure to read my meal planning tips and my meal planning with mince post. I’ve also got a post about making a roast chicken go further.

Thank you. It's pretty cold in the new house so I'm doing lots of warming dinners while we adjust!

I really need to try the slow cooker pizza dough! I was going to make our own dough this week but managed to find some bargain pre bought (£1 for 4 bases and the puree!) so I will use that this week.
