This year I thought I’d bring you something a little different for Valentine’s Day! My Valentine’s Day Gift Guide 2018 is going to focus on the man in your life, rather than being a list of items that women would love to receive. My husband is a hard worker and while our Valentine’s Day this year isn’t going to be too great, as my Mum is having open heart surgery that day, I’ve got him a lovely array of items to gift to him and make him feel loved and appreciated. Here is my Valentine’s Day Gift Guide 2018 – What to buy for the man in your life!
I’ve got a nice array of different gifts here, to suit most budgets and tastes!
First things first… A Valentine’s Card! This is just 59p from Home Bargains and the first few items I’m going to show you here are all from Home Bargains. Every year I write my husband a soppy note about the past year, and what I want for the year ahead. It doesn’t matter if the card is 59p or £5.59 so why not save some pounds for a gift?
This super cute elephant plush is just £2.49 from Home Bargains! My husband doesn’t get a soft toy from me often, so I figured this was cute!
No Valentine’s Day would be complete without a little love heart adorned clothing! The socks are 99p and the boxers are just £2.99 from Home Bargains. A bargain!
This chocolate rose is just 99p and is ideal if you want to make a sweet gesture without spending lots! Again this bargain is from Home Bargains.
Recently I treated myself to a super cute Ban.do cup and my husband was jealous! This love potion cup is HUGE, and is just £2.99 from Home Bargains! This is ideal for stopping Daisy, or the cats, from spilling all of our drinks.
Last up from Home bargains is this mini frying pan! It’s in the shape of a heart. Ideal for making pancakes or an egg for a bargain Valentine’s Day breakfast. This is £1.29! I’m going to use it to cook my Mum something cute when she’s home from her heart surgery!
Moosehead Hair Styling products aren’t something that I have ever seen before. Moosehead is Australia’s number 1 men’s grooming range and they offer designer styling products at affordable prices. These products are just £4.99 each, a shaping dough and a forming wax, and they are available from Tesco, Superdrug and Waitrose. I’m hoping my husband will grow his hair back now!
We’ve been fortunate enough to receive hats from Buff in the last, at Christmas time, and now I’ve been able to choose this stylish hat for Thomas. If you’re someone who follows me on Instagram you’ll know that Buff hats feature in my Instastories really frequently. They are comfortable, warm and great quality too. This particular hat, the Dorian Blue Ink Hat, retails for £30.76.
Most special events can be made that much more special with a nice piece of clothing. Something that is going to last a while, fit well, and be comfortable to wear, is always a winner in our home. The Khaki Grandad Collar Muscle Fit Shirt from Avail London, available for £34.99, is a muscle fit stretch shirt, slim fit in design, with an on-trend Grandad collar. It has a 2 button cuff with a curved hem and it is a lovely colour that goes with most outfits.
We love a nice whiskey in our home! This particular Whiskey is triple distilled and aged in sherry casks. There is a whole range of Peaky Blinder spirits, including this whiskey, rum and gin. This range is new for 2018 and of course named after the well-known TV show. My husband was thrilled when I unboxed this, best of all it is a genuinely fine whiskey! This retails for £24.99 per 70cl and is worth every penny. Also, 31Dover, who sell this whiskey and lots of other delicious alcoholic drinks, offer next day delivery as standard and this is free when you spend more than £49. This is ideal for last minute gifts and splashing out for that special occasion.
My husband loves to smoke a cigar from time to time. This isn’t a habit that I really encourage, however, he has stopped smoking cigarettes and switched to the occasional cigar. Zippo has a fantastic range of windproof lighters for the smoker in your life!
My husband and I have been healthy eating recently, so Valentine’s Day is a great time for a hamper of sweets! This hamper retails for £38.99 and contains a HUGE array of nostalgic sweets including love hearts, friendship rings and Jelly Babies. Pop on over to take a look at the contents yourself!
Getting to have time together as a couple is really important to the strength of our relationship. We have had a day out before, thanks to Buy A Gift, and were really pleased with the experience. The voucher that we received meant that we could both have a day out together, so we went to The Shard and out for dinner too. This Smartbox, Ultimate Time Together, allows couples to choose from 990 experiences. I searched my own postcode and within 25 miles from home there were experience days, days out, hotel stays, spa days and much more. This has an RRP of £129.99 and seems to represent great value for money. For example, we recently stayed at Manor of Groves, and we spent more money than the cost of this voucher. Also, the Smartbox would allow us to have dinner + breakfast as part of our hotel stay too. We are looking forward to using this later in the year!
My husband is a big fan of aftershave and had requested something different recently. This Gold Aftershave Splash has a traditional feel and smell to it. No fancy bells or whistles means that this has an RRP of just £8.99! This scent has a spicy, oriental scent that combines with a burst of citrus and even a little lavender to make a really sophisticated scent that is lovely.
The 10 things I love about you lightbox, from Find Me A Gift, is lovely. Personalised with 10 things that I love about my husband. It is a great way to let someone know that you think about them and that the little things really do mean a lot. This is £39.99 and is a BIG seller – so if you’re interested go grab one now!
So there you have it! My wonderful husband is getting spoiled this Valentine’s Day! My Valentine’s Day Gift Guide 2018 is complete!
