The products featured in this guide were gifted by brands in exchange for this feature. Valentine’s Day isn’t something that we go mad on, to be honest. We no longer go out for lavish meals, and we rarely even cook a fancy meal to mark the day! However, as busy parents, working on buying a house and running our family, we like having a special day to make an effort. This year I’ve decided that Valentine’s Day is going to be about more than just treating Thomas, my lovely husband, and will also be about treating myself! I’m a hard worker and I deserve some nice treats too! Here is my Valentine’s Day Gift Guide for 2019.
I absolutely LOVE the gift of choice. I’m starting my Valentine’s Day Gift Guide for 2019 with this wonderful Two Night Magical Break, from Red Letter Days. I love that we can choose to stay in ANY hotel from one of 420 different locations, subject to availability. It’s so nice to know that we have a little hotel stay waiting for us and we’ve had nothing but good things to say about the hotels we’ve visited previously with RLD! In the last few months, we’ve gifted a few of our loved one’s theatre trips, restaurant visits and more (that we’ve paid for ourselves). I love that the vouchers last for months and the choice is really varied.
My daughter and I love a unicorn! This unicorn cushion is not only soft, super comfortable for a nap on BUT it also folds out… It’s a 2-in-1 neck cushion!
It’s really simple to fold this out. You just unzip the zipper and basically turn it inside out giving it a shake. The beads inside travel down and then you can zip it back together. It’s great fun, super soft and comfortable and just one of the lovely Valentine’s Day gifts that Cool Stuff have available.
I’m a BIG fan of puns, and nice mugs so this was a perfect gift in my eyes! I’m going to gift this to my lovely husband because I lava him a lot! This “I Lava You” mug is a great way to gift something cute, without being cheesy. It’s got that Valentine’s Day vibe but is perfect to use all year round. I’m going to make Tom a hot chocolate in this!
We love Jelly Belly in our home and the Jelly Belly 20 flavours gift box is the perfect gift! We love the different flavours of Jelly Belly and find that 20 is a great amount to have lots of variety but not have them hanging around for months while we savour them! The lemon ones are my favourite!
I’m ALWAYS cold these days! I’m sure it wasn’t this way before I had a baby! Anyway, these microwave slippers are absolutely fantastic! I can microwave the microwavable bag inserts in less time than it takes to make a cup of tea! They warm my feet up really quickly and have been loving in this cold weather we’ve been having. They stock a variety of sizes too so if you’re buying for someone with larger feet (like me) you’ll be in luck!
I’m a big fan of bath soaks, foot soaks and ANYTHING designed to help me sleep better! I’m a busy Mum to a toddler so I need all the help I can get with relaxation and sleep. These are a little outside the box in terms of Valentine’s Day gifts but I’m all about treating your loved one to useful gifts this year! A generous sprinkle of these Magnesium Flakes is all you need to help relieve muscle tension and aid skin. This Magnesium Sleep Lotion is a delightful blend of lavender and chamomile as well as Magnesium Chloride. Take a few moments before bed to use this lotion to help prepare your body for sleep – or that of your loved one!
Sleep is super important to me, as I mentioned above. This year, for Valentine’s Day Gift Guide for 2019, I’m giving my husband the gift of personalised pillows! By entering a few details, such as weight and preferred pillow firmness, I was able to order us 2 personalised pillows which were delivered in just a few days. Best of all, if you’re unsure if you need a personalised pillow (I’m sleeping much better with mine already) you have free delivery, free returns and a 30-night free trial! Head on over to the Nanu website to learn more!
The I Fucking Love You Mug is going to be a gift for my husband! We love a good swear in our home (oops!) and I do love him! This mug is microwave & dishwasher safe which means it is ideal for those early mornings when we sometimes forget to come back to our lattes! Also, if you’re single for Valentine’s Day why not celebrate yourself?
I’m a big fan of fragranced oils around the home. I love to use essential oils in my diffuser and fragrance oils in my bath. These massage oils, from Anma, are available to buy from Superdrug. Each one is 200ml, has different relaxing properties and is designed for a different purpose. The muscle relief is my favourite one so far. The smell is absolutely divine! These are fab both for massaging your own body or that of a partner. The bottles are well designed, 100% recyclable and Anma massage oils are vegan and cruelty free – yay!
Valentine’s Day and my Valentine’s Gift Guide for 2019 wouldn’t be complete with some hearts! These Haribo Heart Throbs are available in 140g and 380g gift boxes. The 380g gift boxes, pictured here, are available from Sainsburys for just £3! I love Haribo as they are suitable for sufferers of most types of food allergies!
This lovely carnival love light up sign, from Find Me A Gift, is down from £49.99 to just £19.99 at the moment! I think this sign is a super cute addition to your table this Valentine’s Day but also perfect for displaying around your home all year long! I’m going to be gifting this as a wedding present later in the year!
This year my Valentine’s Gift Guide for 2019 has lots of little goodies in. I hope you’ve found it useful! I’m all about the sweets, self-care as a parent and a nice soak in the tub!
