The products featured in this guide were gifted by brands in exchange for this feature. Valentine’s Day is rolling around and now we live in our home, without a noisy neighbour banging underneath us all the time, life is feeling really good. Because of this, I want to make Valentine’s Day a whole special day. We’re going to have an at-home date night, give each other a few small gifts and just make a special effort.
Some people say to me that you don’t need a special day to declare your love, which I agree with, but I do think my own marriage needs more date nights and effort, so it is the perfect excuse for us! This year I’ve decided that Valentine’s Day is going to be about more than just treating Thomas, my lovely husband, much like last year, and I will also be about treating myself! I work hard and I deserve to look and feel nice on the day.
How lovely are these kitten slippers? They are from Tuk Shoes. They’re soft, comfortable and perfect for lounging around in your PJs on Valentine’s Day and beyond. These are Vegan, lightweight with a flat sole and super soft too.
Beards are very fashionable now, and my husband sports one himself. A beard oil gift set is always a hit with him and I love that the products help to make his beard soft, smooth and smelling wonderful. The packaging of this set has a lovely vintage feel to it, which I know Tom loves from his beard products. Now Tom will look and feel stylish alongside a Nordgreen watch.
Thomas is a BIG fan of Batman, DC and even has a Batman tattoo. This DC Comics Batman Logo Stein Glass is perfect for him! We have a couple of these lovely steins now, so we are looking forward to toasting together with a fancy drink on Valentine’s night!
So many of the ladies I know absolutely love stationery, and I’m no different! This Legami notebook, with engraving, is so personal and it feels really special too. Not only is it colourful and personal to me but the pages feel great quality too. I’m going to be taking this out with me when I go for a coffee shop break so I can brainstorm!
The cold weather isn’t going to stop us and we will be enjoying a family indoor picnic with this gorgeous Herringbone picnic basket from VonHaus. It comes with everything you need, including a salt & pepper shaker! Just add some lovely food and you’re good to go!
This blushing rose from Dark Horse is a mix of strawberry, raspberry and citrus that is ideal to serve with seafood.
Daisy is almost 4 and becoming more aware of gifting holidays and events. She wanted to gift her Daddy something for ‘love day’ so we chose these personal photo chocolates, from Funky Pigeon, with 30 chocolates in the box they are ideal for sharing!
My daughter Daisy is 3 and STILL loves to climb in my bed for a snooze at night. As such I am TIRED! I love lavender and this sleep easy gift set is the perfect way to let someone know you’re thinking of them. Perhaps you could gift it alongside the offer of a lay-in?!
Having moved house recently we have been loving having more space. I’ve even got my own office area now, which is great. Now, thanks to this Nixplay frame, I can display all of my favourite photographs with ease. Selected frames are 30% off from the 3rd – 16th of February so you can save some money too!
I will be the first to admit that I don’t always make a lot of effort with my appearance. In 2020 I resolved to change that. I have been using different hair care products and I have been cleansing, toning and moisturising twice daily, religiously! I’ve really noticed a difference in my skin and received some nice compliments too. For Valentine’s Day, I will be giving myself a nice manicure and pedicure with these lovely Leighton Denny products. The red is perfect for Valentine’s Day of course! The crystal nail file is so lovely and already my nails look in better shape! You can find them in M&S too or on the Leighton Denny website.
Knowing what experience to gift someone can feel a little tricky at times. For me, I like to give a gift for two, like this gentleman’s afternoon tea, as it means I get to go along too sometimes! We have used lots of BuyAGift treats in recent years, and love them. They have frequent special offers and as the UK’s biggest experience day retailer they negotiate the best prices. I really feel this afternoon tea offers something a little special and I’m excited to get this booked up with Tom!
If you’re on a limited budget for Valentine’s Day you can buy a red box of 4 Guylian chocolates for just £1! A great way to let someone know you’re thinking of them without spending lots. This box above has 10 chocolates in and the red heart-shaped box is very on theme! You can buy these from selected supermarkets and the Guylian website too.

When you’re not quite sure where you want to eat, or where in the UK you will fancy a nice meal, why not pick up a Table for Two gift box from Red Letter Days? There are around 700 locations around the UK so you can book a nice meal while on a trip away, when away for business or even just close to home for a date night.
I love to cook up a storm and on Valentine’s Day, this is no different. This cast iron griddle from ProCook is ideal for cooking steak, grilling meat & fish and can even be popped in the oven if need. It’s really durable, great for indoor and outdoor cooking and oven safe to 260C too. I’m a big fan of cast iron cookware as while they are heavy they are incredibly long-lasting.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my Valentine’s Day Gift Guide. If your budget doesn’t allow for treats this year then why not cook a nice meal instead? My slow cooker roast beef is a great way to cook a delicious and flavoursome meal with ease. I’ve got a whole host of mealtime inspiration posts too and if you’ve got a slow cooker then my slow cooker recipes are delicious too.
