Another gift giving season – really?! Yes! That’s right. It is almost Valentine’s Day. I know, I know, do we really need a day to tell someone we love them?! Of course we don’t. However, do you want to leave your loved one without a gift or a token item? I don’t…! My husband and I try and be thoughtful to one another throughout the year, not just because it is Valentine’s Day. When it comes to Valentine’s Day gift ideas I would say that the best gift idea for me is something thoughtful. I don’t mind if my husband doesn’t buy me flowers or chocolates. I’m sure a lot of people out there would agree that having time together is much more important. My ideal night would consist of my daughter going to bed early, a nice meal or a nice takeaway, and just relaxing in one another’s company. Both being off work together is a privilege as busy working parents and I would love my husband to cook for me for a change!
