What I’ve been reading – September 2017 edition

Reading is something that can fall by the wayside as a parent. I like to read when I’m laying in bed, or in the bath. However, this isn’t always practical once you have a child. Particularly if sharing a bedroom together! I’ve been making more time to fit in reading where I can and feel that I’m finding the right balance now. For me reading is more than just relaxing. I love to learn something new, feel good about myself and make time for me. Each month I am sharing with you What I’ve Been Reading!

What I've been reading - September 2017 edition

What I’ve been reading & loved

Tanya Bakes – This was a really good book. I thought it was going to be all healthy bakes for some reason. Also, I wasn’t sure I’d have all the ingredients at home, as is often the case with cookbooks. I was pleasantly surprised though! We’ve enjoyed the fruit scones and iced buns from this book. There are TONS of wonderful recipes in here so I’m hoping to start using this more now!

30 Days to a Clean and Organized House – I think I’ve read this before. As much of it seemed familiar. Anyway, I’ve found this really useful! I’ve definitely got right back on track with cleaning my home in the last month and this book has really helped. I’ve read back over some of my old posts such as spring cleaning tips, and used some of my own hacks, like this microwave cleaning in just 2 minutes. The daily cleaning routine in this is FANTASTIC and I’ve found it really helpful. The 30 day cleaning guide within this book is fantastic at helping you get your home organised. I’m going to be running a 30 day organisation series in October so this has got me motivated!

What I’ve been reading and have not loved

Nothing this month!

What I’m planning on reading next

Good Food: Traybakes – Always loving a cookbook!

Thrifty Tweets: Save money, make money and live cheap with these short tips – I like the idea of the short tweets being ideal to just have a little glance at.

Arseda: The World’s worst customer service – This seems like it could be funny. I have a feeling I glanced at this once before though and wasn’t a fan – so who knows?!

Got a suggestion of a great book for me? Why not leave me a comment or send me a message over on Twitter. I’m always interested in new books, and trying to improve myself in the process.
