Use a kitchen towel or reusable kitchen cloth to pat dry your chicken wings, you want them as dry as possible.
-
Combine together the dry rub ingredients and place into a large mixing bowl. (I use a pestle and mortar to get a super fine blend, but you can skip this if short on time).
-
Dust your chicken wings in the cornflour, and shake off any excess.
-
Then add the dusted chicken wings to the mixing bowl with the dry rub and give them a good shake to coat well.
-
Place a layer of the coated chicken wings in to the air fryer. Avoid crowding the air fryer basket.
-
Cook at 180C (355F) for 16 minutes, shaking up a couple of times during the cooking process.
-
Then turn up to 220C and cook for 6 minutes, turning once during this cooking time.
