5-10mlvegetable oilskip olive oil as it has a lower smoking point or oil spray
Seasoning of choice - see above for some suggestions
Instructions
Peel and chop the whole butternut squash by chopping off both ends, peeling with a vegetable peeler and then slicing down the middle and into half sizes lengths, then remove the seeds and slice into 1-inch thick slices.
You can also buy the butternut squash slices or cubed butternut squash ready prepared if that is more convenient.
Coat the cut butternut squash slices in the oil and your seasoning of choice.
Place in your air fryer basket in a single layer. This will allow for good air flow.
Air fry for 12 minutes at 190C (375F approx).
Flip over and cook for an additional 6-8 minutes until your slices have reached their desired browning.
I like my butternut squash to be fork-tender and lovely and golden.
Add a sprinkle of salt and pepper before serving.
Make sure to adjust the cooking time based on what size butternut squash you're air frying.
