Hello! I'm Katy, or Katykicker as most people know me online. This page is an opportunity for my readers to get to know me a little better.
Who is Katykicker?
I am a 36-year-old wife and mother. I'm married, to Thomas, and we have been together since 2007. We met when we worked together and were engaged in 6 months! When you know, you know!
After seven long years of infertility, we finally have two lovely daughter - Daisy, born in 2016 and Aurora, born in 2021.
Why did I start Katykicker?
Back in 2013 I was working a job I detested. My health was suffering too and I wanted to try and spend more time working on improving my health, and finding out what was wrong with me. Chronic illness is what!
Fast forward 10+ years and I now work for myself, full-time.
I started writing Katykicker because I was making money online and people wanted to know how. People do still constantly message me, asking for help, which I don't mind but now I have somewhere to direct them!
I'm so happy knowing that I am able to share money making and saving websites and tips with my readers. I also love to share product reviews, frugal recipes, the odd craft and much more. I love being able to write about my life and help people in the process.
Katykicker has evolved to be so much more than just another money blog, and I'm more than just a UK money blogger! I love sharing my whole life with my readers - the highs and lows - and I'm always online to chat, offer support and share in the lives of my readers too.
Where does the 'Katykicker' part come from?
This is a very, very old nickname that was given to me. I had a pair of black boots, that I loved, with pointy toes. One day I was showing my boots off to someone and accidentally kicked them in the eye! Ever since I've used the name on a variety of websites and it has stuck with me for more than 20 years now. I've even trademarked it!
I also help people kick debt into touch, and offer ideas to other people who want to make and save money in a variety of ways.
