How long does a YouGov cashout take?

I have been a member of YouGov for around 10 years now. Maybe even a little longer! I recently requested another cashout and so I thought it was time to talk about how long a YouGov cashout takes, and share a few little insights into cashing out your earnings with YouGov.
My latest 2022 cashout took:
My latest YouGov cashout took just 11 days to arrive. In the past I have had cashouts that have took everything from 15 days right up to 30 days! It's definitely varied, but seems to be faster these days than it used to be.
YouGov currently state that their cashout terms are 1 month and so far I have never had a YouGov cashout that was later than this. And I've had a LOT of £50s over the last decade or so!

Are YouGov surveys worth my time?
On average YouGov surveys take around five to seven minutes to complete. They are on a wide range of topics. The majority of surveys cover politics, products, brands, product affairs and more.
The surveys are simple to complete, and varied too. They don't require much effort, and it is simple to complete one of their surveys on the train, while making a coffee or just when sitting in front of the television in the evenings.
As the YouGov studies are often on topics such as politics I feel like I'm really making a difference when I share my opinion. Especially when it is a negative opinion about the current prime minister!
The reward for YouGov surveys ranges from 25p upwards. On average a five to seven-minute survey is worth 50p. I find that I can complete the surveys quicker than this.
While this is a slow burner it still adds up throughout the year. You're NOT going to get rich from surveys like this, but if you've got lots of free time, or just have the brain capacity to complete some surveys while relaxing in front of Netflix then why not hey?
What are the YouGov payment methods?
You can provide your bank details, for a bank transfer. Alternatively you can use Paypal, though in the past I've found this to be the slower of the payment methods. That might just be luck though!
Cashout on YouGov is when you hit 5000 points, which is £50.00. For some people this can take a year or two, it just depends on if you keep your profile surveys up to date and if you are the right demographics for the types of surveys they frequently have.

You'll need 5000 points, £50.00 worth, before you can cashout. Once you've hit this then just heard to the redemptions page to get your cashout processed.
I know this is quite a large amount, especially given that most of the surveys are lower paying, but even 1 or 2 cashouts a year are better than nothing, and can really add up when combined with other survey sites, mystery shopping and market research companies!
How long does it take to get 5000 points on YouGov?
For me, now that there is YouGov safe, I'm hitting 5000 every 4-5 months again. It had slowed down, but in 2022 it's picking back up and I'm pleased! The £50s soon add up, and YouGov Safe is a great way to make some easy extra points with very minimal effort.

Hi Jack - payments are via bank transfer or cheque.
Sorry Katy, I cant believe you have had several payouts in a few months, it just does not work that way. You need 5000 points for a payout and the surveys are 50 points when and if they do come in. You Gov does not give out surveys every day, so god only knows how you were raking in that much.
Nowhere in the post you've commented on does it say that I received 'several payouts in a few months'. It says "I have been a member of the YouGov panel for quite a few years now and have had a considerable amount of £50 cashouts from them in that time." I have made lots of money in the time I've been with YouGov, as I earn from the 50-125 point surveys and they sometimes offer focus groups too. The post you're commenting on was written back in 2015, and hasn't been updated with my earnings since, however my website has posts based on my own experiences on, not those of others.
There is a second YouGov post on this website (https://katykicker.com/katykickers-yougov-guide/) which clearly states "I receive £50 3 or 4 times per year so it is a slow burner but definitely worthwhile as they do genuinely payout. I’m typically receiving 3-5 surveys per week. The surveys are short and very simple to complete. They usually ask a few questions at the end, with regards to upcoming surveys. This is to save you filling out numerous unpaid surveys and profile surveys over and over again."
I hope that clears up your own misunderstanding.
You have done well. I have been with Yougov for over 10 years and have only had one payout. I estimate I am about five or six pounds away from my second 50 pound payment!
Ahh that's a shame isn't it! I've certainly found it has slowed down a little since I last updated this post. I concentrate more on Prolific Academic and similar sites!

Payments are listed as being processed, by BACS, within 1 month of the request. So you're not at this stage yet, as you'd need to allow potentially 3-5 working days on top of that. However, you can reach YouGov by visiting their Contact US page and raising a ticket: https://yougov.co.uk/about/contact-us/

I did alot of surverys for yougov and reached the $100 bank transfer (100,000 points) I have been doing this for about a year and I wasn't sure if bank transfer was legit. Do you know how long it takes to receive the cashout now? (In United States)
