15 minute spaghetti bolognese - the finished dish!

Ingredients for 15 minute spaghetti bolognese:

15ml olive oil

1 carrot

1 red pepper

3 cloves of garlic

300g mince (I used a mix of pork & beef)

1 tin of tomatoes (400g approx)

30g tomato puree

Salt & pepper

1 beef stock cube or stock pot

50ml water

Italian herbs: 1/2 tsp oregano, basil, rosemary, them, parsley OR you could use 2 tbsp of Italian herb mix to save time

50g parmesan or cheese of your choice

250g spaghetti (fresh or dried)

A garlic baguette that has been cooked in the air fryer and is in an enamel baking dish

Method for 15 minute spaghetti bolognese:

Put a saucepan of salted water on to boil for the spaghetti.

Grate carrot and thinly slice pepper.

Grate, finely slice or crush your garlic with a garlic press.

Heat oil in a pan.

Add your carrot & pepper, cook for 2-3 minutes.

Put your spaghetti in to the boiling water to cook as per packet instructions.

Add your mince and brown. Should take around 3-4 minutes.

Season with salt and pepper. Add the garlic and herbs.

Mix in the tomato puree.

Add the tinned tomatoes (I use chopped) to your pan.

Mix your stock cube or pot with 50ml of hot water. Add this.

Simmer on low for 5 minutes before serving. Make sure it’s piping hot!

Serve over cooked, drained spaghetti and top with cheese of your choice – we love a mix of cheddar and parmesan! Add a little cracked pepper too!
