I’ve got some great recipes to help you recreate your favourite pizza experience at home including this garlic and herb dip which tastes quite similar to the one from Dominos – but MILES healthier as it does not have sour cream!
Some nights you just want a big pizza and a few nice sides don’t you? We ALL know pizza delivery is unhealthy but perhaps even worse is that it is SO overpriced!
I love making homemade pizzas, particularly air fryer pizza. I make pizza dough in my bread maker, my own pasta sauce if we’re having pasta on the side and then I’ve been known to go all out with air fryer chips, or air fryer frozen french fries, air fryer frozen chicken nuggets and homemade garlic bread made with a super simple garlic butter. Sometimes I make air fryer garlic bread when I’m in a hurry!
You can make this garlic and herb dip in just a few seconds, it is one of my most simple recipes ever.

Ingredients for garlic and herb dip:
70g natural yoghurt
1/4 teaspoon of garlic granules (or 1 clove minced/diced finely)
1/4 teaspoon of onion salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Chives (I used 1 stalk)
Method for this garlic and herb dip recipe:
Measure out your yoghurt, add the garlic, onion and black pepper.
Mix well.
Add your diced chives. You can either mix through or serve with the chives on the top for a nicer look.
Serve with your favourite pizza and enjoy.

What else would this dip work well with?
We’ve enjoyed it with air fryer tortilla chips and even spread onto a soft white roll before adding our choice of protein for a super tasty lunch.
This goes great with breadsticks too and is a great way to add some extra flavour to your meal without the addition of lots of calories.
Can you make this with sour cream?
I feel this changes the flavour quite a bit, you’ll want to add a splash of white wine vinegar to balance the flavour a little more and perhaps 1-2 tablespoons of mayonnaise too.
This yoghurt version is miles healthier and still packed full of flavour.
Can you eat garlic and herb dip when pregnant?
You can definitely eat this one, yes! It’s pretty healthy and a great source of dairy too.
Can you freeze garlic and herb dip?
Personally I would not recommend it for this recipe. While food safety wise you CAN freeze this, it is likely to separate. It would be fine if you were going to cook with the dip but it won’t taste as nice if it’s not fresh.
Ideally make this within a few minutes of when you want to enjoy it or cover and refrigerate then consume within 1-2 days for the best freshness.
Other serving ideas?
A platter of vegetables would work so well with this. Crudite platters such as carrots, celery, olives, peppers and cucumbers would all work great with this flavoursome dip.
